Dear Room 202 families,
We have had a busy week. The students have worked hard and I’m so impressed by their kindness and their happy attitude toward learning.
1. Back to School Night. On Thursday, September 3, please join us for Back to School Night at Brown.
2. Picture Day. Individual picture day is scheduled for September 14.
3. Homework. We sent homework home today, due next Friday.
4. P.E. shoes. Our first special is P.E., so please send students to school wearing appropriate footwear for the next two weeks of school.
3. Website. Please see my website http://brownroom202.weebly.com/ (also linked to the Brown website) for details about our daily schedule and procedures.
4. Other questions? Please contact me by e-mail or phone if you have questions or comments.
This week we have worked quite a bit on classroom procedures to establish a safe learning environment for the students. Next week, we will move more into our regular curriculum. Our IB unit of inquiry is Immigration and we will integrate that unit of inquiry throughout our curriculum, which will include poetry and expository writing. In math, we begin with place value.
Thank you!
